Gokak BJP MLA Ramesh Jarkiholi said he was the person to defeat his younger brother, Yamakanamaradi Congress MLA in by-polls to Belagavi Lokasabha.

Campaigning at Hirebagewadi for his party candidate for MLC election, Mahantesh Kavatagimath, he said he never see the family when things comes to the party. Party was more important to him rather than the family relationship. “I’m in BJP for which worked for the victory of party candidate Mangala Angadi, instead my brother Satish contested from opposite party,” he said.

Claimed himself as a follower of Basava principles, he said he always respect all community, however, was being branded wrongly.

He appealed voters to re-elect Kavatagimath who is also a member of prestigious KLE Society.
