Inter-state Gang Involved in Country Made Pistol Nabbed

An inter-state gang involved in selling country-made pistols has been arrested by Khanapur police. Eight of nine-member gang consisting of Karnataka, Maharashtra, Goa and Madya Pradesh have been arrested from who two country-made pistols and three live bullets have been recovered.

Tulasidas Joshi from Kolhapur in Maharashtra had come to Khanapur to sale a pistol to Dharwad based Rowdy-shetter Umesh Beleyali when both were caught by the police. Joshi used to get the pistols from Vijay Ramlal Thakur from Varna district in Madya Pradesh.

Joshi used to sale a pistol for Rs 1 lakh and Umesh Beleyali came to buy the same to threat people for money.

Cases have been filed against five from Karnataka, three from Maharashtra and two people from Madya Pradesh. Police are investigating the case and have spread nets to nab one more person from Madya Pradesh who is at large.
